Audio Lesson

It's all about the chord number system. The chord number system allows us to search deeper into music theory, the science in which music can be explained. Then we can understand the principles of hearing the music which is playing by ear, rather than seeing the music which is, sight reading. In the online private lessons offered at www.learngospelpiano.com my goal is to create a customized curriculum for each student that will meet their individual needs. Ultimately, It's my desire that every student can to listen to a CD and understand everything that's going on within the music and play any song they want, effortlessly.

Let's look at one of my favorite songs by Donald Lawrence, a master writer in his own right. Understanding music theory is the key that will unlock any song you need to learn.
